Recently I have been having some comments over the suitability of collagen cream for men. Before you go yucks and stereotype these men as metrosexual or even effeminate, I need to profess that vanity is not a privilege of women. Men also go through the same cycles of ageing and face the same problems women go through as we age. Having said that, more men are starting to open up to the idea of using collagen cream for face and other parts of their body to combat the terrors of ageing.
Since it is not a tradition for men to adopt skincare regimes, some might be at a loss when choosing the kind of products to use. There is a whole range that you can consider and popular ones that people look out for are:
1. Cheap collagen cream
2. Collagen cream for face
3. Collagen cream for eyes
For those who feels that cheap denotes lousy, you might have to reconsider. Paying for expensive products might not necessarily lead to more effective results. The ingredients for the collagen cream might actually be the same but big brands usually have fancy packaging and elaborate marketing campaigns that buyers are partially paying for. Hence, don’t be misled into thinking that paying more would lead you to the path of youthful, radiant skin even faster. Of course, you should also be wary of dope products that are cheap but use artificial or strong chemicals that are not suitable for the skin. If you want to buy collagen cream that is effective and affordable, you should consult your friends and family for tips and recommendations.
The main components of collagen cream for men are the same as their female counterparts. Basically there are CoQ10, retinol and collagen. I’m not going to bore you with the details on these ingredients (refer to my previous article ___ for more information). Instead I’m going to review one of the products that my brother is using now.
The Nivea Men eye cream is supposed to fight any problems around the eye areas that are associated to ageing. These include wrinkles, dark eye rings and crow’s feet. While guys might think that they are still young and not susceptible to such problems, it is always good to be a step ahead. It contains SPF6 that helps guys especially since they are always out in the sun. My brother finds that this product is non greasy and can be applied onto his eye area easily. However, a word of caution is that light products are usually not suitable for chronic and serious problems so if you have severe signs of ageing, you should use a more specialised product.
Overall this product is suited for men looking for a product to start with and basic protection. At about $8 for a 5 oz jar, the price is reasonable.
